This is a 100/48 cm iron sculpture. with polychrome on both sides with oil paint. This idea occurred to me several years ago after seeing an exhibition by Alex Katz but I had not had the opportunity to use the laser torch until now. As always, I made the cardboard template that I drew on the iron plate. I cut the shape with the torch and fixed the edges with the radial disc. I then used a primer to prepare the surface to paint the figure.
My cast iron sculptural work explores the robustness and perpetuity of metal, instilling a sense of eternity and stability. Each shape and curvature is meticulously molded to reflect both the strength and subtlety of the human spirit, offering a piece that invokes contemplation.
